GHOST Energy Drink Discontinued

GHOST Discontinues Energy Drinks and Whey Protein — End of an Era?🚨

In a move that’s caught the supplement and energy drink world off guard, GHOST has officially discontinued several of their flagship Energy Drinks and Whey Protein including SOUR PATCH KIDS, SWEDISH FISH, OREO, NUTTER BUTTER, and CHIPS AHOY... GHOST Energy Drink Discontinued

Yep — the staples that helped build one of the most recognizable lifestyle supplement brands in the world are now off the market.

The real question is: Why

Why Is GHOST Discontinuing These Core Products?🤔

While the brand hasn’t issued a formal statement (yet), there seems to be a disconnect between GHOST and Mondelez Brands, the mother company to Sour Patch Kids, Swedish Fish, Oreo, Nutter Butter, and Chips Ahoy.

GHOST Co-founder Dan Lourenco outlined this issue in a series of tweets earlier this week.

According to Dan, the GHOST team "fought hard to keep the band together" Mondelez has decided not to move forward with us in the next chapter of GHOST LIFESTYLE."

It’s definitely unfortunate — these products have become absolute fan-favorites among longtime GHOST supporters. There’s been some speculation that Mondelez's decision might be tied to the recent acquisition of GHOST by Dr. Pepper, possibly signaling a shift in partnerships.

That said, it’s all just speculation at this point — and realistically, we may never get full confirmation. But let's be clear, Mondelez is the one who's playing hard to get in this scenario, NOT GHOST.

What Now?🤔

If you’re still seeing these iconic GHOST Energy Drinks or GHOST Whey at your local store or online, grab them while you can. Once the stock is gone, it’s gone.

And if you’re wondering what’s next for GHOST — all eyes are on their upcoming drops. The brand is known for reinventing the game, so this is likely just the start of a new chapter.

Remember, GHOST is now owned by Dr. Pepper, and we'd like to think that they have access to collaborate on products with other Dr. Pepper brands. Of these, most noticeably, there's AW Root Beer, Crush, Fanta, Big Red, Motts, and Snapple, just to name a few.

Final Thoughts

There’s no sugar-coating it — this move is a tough pill to swallow. GHOST Energy Drinks and GHOST Whey Protein weren’t just best-sellers, they were core pillars of the GHOST brand and helped build its massive community from the ground up.

From the outside looking in, it feels like there’s some tension on the Mondelez side of things, and if you ask me, it’s a major loss on their part. Letting go of one of the most beloved and fastest-growing sports nutrition brands on the planet? Bold move... and not in a good way.

That said, if there’s one thing we know about GHOST, it’s that they don’t miss a beat. With their recent acquisition by Dr. Pepper, they’re still sitting in a really strong position — and the possibilities for future collabs are wide open. Imagine the kinds of products they could dream up with access to the Dr. Pepper portfolio...

So yeah — it’s unfortunate. But GHOST isn’t going anywhere. If anything, this might just be the beginning of a new (and even bigger) era.🤝🏻
