Verbasnol

Verbasnol is a plant-based ingredient derived from Rehmannia glutinosa, which is rich in antioxidants and may aid in preventing aging of the skin. The benefits of Verbasnol are diverse:

Verbasnol is known as a verbascoside, a scavenger of free radicals and inhibitor of lipid peroxidation. If free radical levels are too high and the body is unable to regulate them, a detrimental condition known as oxidative stress may incur. However, antioxidants help rid the body of free radicals and prevent this condition, which is where Verbasnol comes in.

Verbasnol is rich in antioxidants and lowers levels of free radicals invading the skin. This mechanism leads to healthier, smoother, and more lustrous skin. In addition, verbascoside has been shown to inhibit Propionibacterium acnes,  a bacteria associated with acne lesions and inflammation of skin tissue.

Because Verbasnol prevents the breakdown of collagen, it often times finds itself paired with another NuLiv Science ingredient, Astrion, which has been shown to promote the internal production of collagen.
