What is Astrion? Astrion is a plant-based ingredient developed by NuLiv Science that has been shown to increase internal collagen production. The benefits of Astrion, and collagen, are well documented. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body and plays a role in the structure of hair, skin, bones, connective tissue, and cartilage. For this reason, collagen is touted to be a "beauty" supplement; but it does more than just promote looks.

Collagen Production
As previously mentioned, collagen plays a role in the structure of connective tissue, bones, and also joints. In one randomized controlled trial composed of elite cyclists, supplementation with collagen preserved markers of bone mineral density during the off season. Another study conducted on elderly sarcopenic men found that collagen peptide supplementation combined with resistance training improved body composition and increased muscle strength. These findings suggests that collagen strengthens bones and muscles, which may prevent injury. Other research suggests that collagen may promote the synthesis of muscle proteins as well as stimulate muscle growth post-workout.
Now Astrion isn't your typical collagen supplement; it does not directly introduce collagen to the body. Astrion increases the skin cell's ability to internally produce collagen, which increases overall collagen levels throughout the body. Not only does Astrion increase production of collagen, it also prevents the breakdown of collagen as an added benefit. Astrion also poses many other benefits; it's been shown to increase hyaluronic acid as well; an ingredient used to improve joint health and prevent skin aging. In one human study, Astrion was proven to reduce wrinkles and melanin by 15% and 17% in 30 days.
