Over the last few years, household name-brands have been slowly creeping into the functional food and supplement spaces, and I'm all about it. We've seen collaboration products with companies like Little Debbie, Skippy, Oreo, and Cinnabon to name a few. If there's one thing that's been made abundantly clear in 2024, no collaboration is off the table. Earlier this month, Starbuck's shook the supplement space with the reveal of several protein coffee flavors. Let's say this; there's a lot to like about the new Starbuck's protein coffee, so let's get down to the nitty-gritty. Starbucks protein coffee
Starbucks protein coffee is an entirely new product that features the same authentic coffee flavor most coffee fans have come to love, but with an added 20g of protein derived from milk concentrate. They also feature no added sugar and low-fat milk. At this time, the nutrition facts panel is not available, so exact amounts of carbohydrates, fat, and calories is unknown. Considering this is indeed a protein coffee product, it's reasonable to suspect each flavor packs a bit of caffeine as well.
The biggest downside to Starbucks' new protein coffee is the fact that it is exclusive to the UK. However, don't be surprised if these products roll out into international markets in the near future! If there's one thing that's for certain... it's refreshing to see a company of this caliber focus on overall health and well-being.
