GHOST has almost every supplement imaginable in its catalog. From one-of-a-kind protein collaborations to multivitamins, pre-workouts, and cereal... there's a reason they're one of the most established sports nutrition companies on the planet. So the question is: how would a powerhouse like GHOST opt to celebrate their 8th birthday?

Luckily for us, we now have an answer! This year, Ghost announces their first ever intra workout.

EAA Matrix

Amino acids are a staple in any intra workout formula. Ghost opts for 6g of total BCAAs with the highlight being the golden 2:1:1 ratio of leucine, isoleucine and valine. 

The reason we see amino acids play such a prevalent role in intra workout products is because of their ability to help with recovery during workouts. Obviously, our main goal with supplementing with this product is to boost the effectiveness of our workout and amino acids will help do just that. 

Hydration

This is where things get fun. 

Ghost delivers 230mg of sodium coming from himalayan pink sea salt. This is coupled with 95mg of potassium from potassium citrate and balanced with 500mg of Aquamin. The combination of these is going to deliver the necessary electrolytes and minerals that your body is losing from the result of your workout and make sure your performance is staying elevated. 

To aid alongside these hydration agents, a gram of taurine is added. Taurine is known for its ability to hyperhydrate and boost athletic endurance. This is why taurine is found in a lot of pre workout formulas and it's awesome to see it in this. 

Focus

Where Ghost really differentiates itself, is in the focus category.

Ghost adds in 600mg of KSM66 ashwagandha. Ashwagandha is known as an adaptogen which essentially means its going to help our body adapt to stress. While we are pushing ourselves in the gym, we are putting our body under great amounts of stress, so the addition of an adaptogen, can help fend off the negative consequences of that and keep performance elevated. 

What's most exciting to see, is 250mg of Cognizin Citicoline. This is one of the most studied forms of citicoline and aids itself to a very euphoric focus feel. Citicoline acts as a precursor to acetylcholine also known as "the learning neurotransmitter" as it is essential for long term potentiation. Cognizin is also dopaminergic which is just a really fancy way of saying that it can increase dopamine levels which gives that euphoric feel.

To round out all these great benefits, Ghost adds in 50mg of Astragin to enhance ingredient absorption.
