As if the name Desperado isn't badas* enough then well... the formula certainly is. Let's take a closer look.

Supplement Facts
Disclaimer: This article is based upon the two scoop (22.8g) serving size
Blood-Flow and Performance
To kick off this blood-flow complex, Desperado manages to pack generous doses of Citrulline at 8,000mg. L-citrulline is a non-essential amino acid and precursor to the holy grail of blood flow-enhancing compounds, nitric oxide. Nitric oxide expands blood vessels through a process called vasodilation. This mechanism allows more blood to be delivered to your muscles; at the same time, it also helps to remove waste products on their way out. Since blood is the carrier of oxygen and nutrients to muscle tissue, increases in blood flow prove to be especially beneficial for exercise performance.
Think of it like this: your blood vessels are pipes. The wider the pipes, the more water can flow through them. It works the same for blood flow; the wider the blood vessels, the more blood can flow through and be delivered to muscle tissue!
Additionally, Desperado features an impressive 3,000mg of Arginine Nitrate. As previously mentioned, nitrates are considered the holy grail of blood-flow-enhancing ingredients. Since they directly convert to nitric oxide, their effects take place in a more timely manner and are more effective at smaller doses.
To round out the blood-flow and performance complex, Desperado includes efficacious doses of Betaine and Pink Himalayan Sea Salt for hydration as well as Beta-Alanine to buffer pH levels and offset fatigue.
Energy
To kick off this energy complex, Desperado keeps things simple, yet efficient. The intention of this pre-workout is to provide a well-rounded, low-to-mid stimulant pre-workout that's safe for daily use. And boy, does it do exactly that.
Desperado packs 275 of Caffeine Anhydrous; everyone's favorite central nervous system stimulant that increases energy, focus, and thermogenesis. In Addition, to provide a smoother energizing feeling and prevent crash, Apollon includes 100mg of Di-Caffeine Malate, yielding another 75mg of caffeine. For the final ingredient in this energy complex, Desperado features 100mg of the xanthine derivative, Theobromine. It too provides longer-lasting energy and also plays a role in preventing that ever-so-dreaded crash.
Focus and Miscellaneous
For focus, Desperado includes 2,000mg L-tyrosine; an amino acid that increases dopamine and noradrenaline levels within the body. Dopamine is an important neurotransmitter that promotes focus, cognition, and provides a slight euphoric feel. Tyrosine is one of the most popular nootropic ingredients on the market and is particularly useful when supplemented before bouts of acute stress, like working out. This makes it an especially beneficial addition to a pre-workout powder, which is why Apollon opted to utilize its benefits in Desperado.
It would be challenging to formulate a solid focus complex without mentioning acetylcholine. Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter that increases focus, cognition, and muscle contractions; because of this, increases in acetylcholine prove to be especially beneficial for performance training. Apollon opted to use 250mg Citicholine within their Desparado formula. Citicholine is a highly popular nootropic ingredient that converts to choline and cytidine upon consumption. Cytidine then converts to uridine, which is responsible for maintaining the fatty membranes of synaptic cells. It also aids in creating connections between neurons.
Lastly, Desperado packs 50mg of NuLiv Science's beloved AstraGin for its documented absorption properties.
