What is HydroPrime®? HydroPrime® is a trademarked form of glycerol developed by NNB Nutrition. The benefits of HydroPrime® are well documented, as it's been shown to enhance hydration and improve overall athletic performance in the gym.

Glycerol

Glycerol is one of the most research backed sports nutrition ingredients on the market and is composed of a combination of glucose, proteins, pyruvate, triacylglycerols, and other glycerolipid pathways. In addition, glycerol can be used as an energy substrate and contribute to energy yield during exercise; countless studies support the fact that glycerol supplementation enhances aerobic and anaerobic performance.

Glycerol has been shown to be a safe and effective hyperhydrating agent (Magal et al., 2003), as glycerol paired with water hyperhydration has been shown to increase total body water when compared to water hyperhydration alone. As we all know, hydration is an essential component of athletic performance; studies show that only a 2% loss in fluids can result in as much as a 20% decrease in exercise performance. HydroPrime® primarily provides four benefits: 

1. Hydration Support: Studies show a reduction in urine volume which demonstrates glycerol allows for a hyperhydrated state for an extended period of time.

Where HydroPrime® differs from generic glycerol is that HydroPrime® yields a higher concentration of glycerol by mass and has been specifically designed to prevent clumping, which is a major problem with other forms of glycerol.
