What is CapsiAtra? CapsiAtra is a patented ingredient developed by Ajinomoto and is comprised of synthetic dihydrocapsiate. This unique ingredient is similar to capsaicin and has been shown to support weight management without elevating heart rate or blood pressure. The benefits of CapsiAtra are attributed to its rich capsinoid content, which are up to 1000x less pungent in comparison to capsaicinoids.

BAT Activation

It's important to understand that stored body fat falls in one of two categories: brown adipose tissue (BAT) or white adipose tissue (WAT). Almost 98% of the fat content in the typical human body is WAT, or "unwanted" fat. On the flip side, the remaining 2% is BAT, or "good" fat. It sounds odd to call any source of fat "good", but bare with us.

Because BAT has significantly more mitochondria- which are responsible for all energy production within cells, BAT proves to be much more thermogenic (heat producing) compared to WAT. This increase in body temperature increases daily caloric expenditure and helps to create a calorie deficit, which is the key component driving weight loss. CapsiAtra just so happens to activate BAT 🔥

In a double-blind, randomized, placebo controlled study conducted on 44 participants with a BMI greather than 23. Each were given a mix of capsinoids (like in CapsiAtra) for 28 days. Results showed significant increases in resting energy expenditure and fat oxidation - particularly in those with elevated BMI.

It is well known that capsaicinoids are quite spicy in nature; CapsiAtra provides the benefits attributed to capsaicinoids, yet with significantly less burning sensation when compared to similar ingredients on the market.
